For You I weep

All I could think of
Is Suzanne our sweet,
And years we shared
Some twenty and one:

O Suzanne my Sweet
For You I weep

  
  All that I see
With my mind’s eye
Is your smiling face
And lovely blue eyes:
O Suzanne my Sweet
For You I weep		  
  Patient in suffering
Kindest of souls,
Cancer’s victim
This year’s fall:
O Suzanne my Sweet
For You I weep		  
  I’ve no answer
As to why this was so
- Nature’s way
Or the Will of God:
O Suzanne my Sweet
For You I weep		  
  Fate it was
That brought us together,
And so still again
We meet each other:
O Suzanne my Sweet
For You I weep
